Every job is looked at on its own merits. We build work that lasts and meets Welsh building regulations.
Rear and side extensions to give you more living space. We handle foundations, brickwork and roofing, and can take the job through to internal fit-out or hand over a finished shell.
Brick porches with tiled or slated roofs, double-glazed frames and brickwork matched to the house. A neat way to smarten up the front of a terrace or semi.
Boundary walls, retaining walls for sloping gardens and decorative garden walls in brick, stone or block, all built on proper foundations with drainage.
New brickwork, tuck pointing, repointing and stonework repairs, matched to the existing materials on older Cardiff properties.
Excavation, concrete foundations, drainage and sub-base preparation for all kinds of building work.
Knocking through internal walls, fitting steel beams, and removing or repairing chimneys. All notifiable work is submitted to building control.
Yes. A lot of Cardiff's housing is Victorian and Edwardian, and older buildings need a careful approach: matching the original brickwork, using lime mortar where it is needed, and allowing for the way older structures were built.
Not always. In Wales, a single-storey rear extension can often go ahead under permitted development if it is no more than 3m deep, or 4m for a detached house, subject to conditions on height, materials and how much of the garden it covers. Side extensions, larger extensions and homes in conservation areas usually need full planning permission. We check what your property needs before work starts.
Yes. We use suppliers who stock reclaimed and heritage bricks to suit common Cardiff house types, and we take time to match the bond, colour and mortar mix to the original.
Yes. Every building job starts with the right foundations. We look at the ground conditions, dig trial holes where needed, and build the foundations to building regulations standards.
All notifiable building work is submitted to building control and signed off at completion. You receive a completion certificate, which you will need if you ever sell the house.
