From classic block paving to low-maintenance gravel, we lay the right surface for your property and budget.
The most popular choice in Cardiff. Laid in herringbone, basket weave or stretcher bond. Hard-wearing, repairable and smart from the street.
Quick to lay with a smooth finish. A good fit for larger driveways where budget is the priority, and it can be edged with block paving for a neater look.
A smooth, permeable surface in a wide range of aggregate colours. Laid on a permeable base, water drains through rather than running onto the road.
Usually the most affordable surface. Natural look and easy drainage. We lay a weed membrane and proper edging so the gravel stays where it should.
Concrete printed to look like stone or brick, in a choice of colours and patterns, and sealed against the weather.
Need a wider or longer drive? We match the existing materials where we can, or use something that sits well alongside them.
We measure up, look at the existing surface and drainage, and give you a written quote with material options.
We dig out to the correct depth and lay a compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base. This is the most important step for a driveway that lasts.
Where needed, we fit linear or point drainage so rainwater is taken away from your house and does not run onto the road.
Haunched edging or block kerbs hold the driveway in place and give it a clean, defined edge.
Block paving, tarmac, resin or gravel is laid to the agreed specification. Pattern and colour are confirmed with you before work starts.
Joints are filled with kiln-dried sand and compacted, and we clear away all waste. We walk round the finished job with you before we leave.
A new or replacement front driveway over 5 square metres only needs planning permission if rainwater runs off it onto the road. A permeable surface, or drainage that takes the water to a lawn or border, avoids that. We check what your property needs before work starts.
Every job is different, so we price after a free site visit and give you a written quote with no obligation.
Most driveways take 3 to 7 days. That covers excavation, the sub-base, laying, and jointing or sealing. Some stages depend on the weather, so we plan the work around it.
Block paving and resin-bound both cope well with Cardiff's wet weather. With block paving, individual blocks can be lifted and replaced if needed. Resin-bound gives a smooth, permeable finish. We advise based on your budget and how you use the drive.
We can get a wide range of block colours and sizes. If you are extending an existing driveway, we source matching or complementary materials.
